All India Council for Robotics and Automation(AICRA) has been working on advancing Education in Robotics and Automation in India. NxR labs have been set up at schools and college campuses to provide infrastructure supportive of innovation in Robotics and Automation.
In order to inculcate the spirit of Innovation in young learners, AICRA has started literacy programs for school and college learners. AICRA Robotics Literacy Certificates provide appreciation and certification to the Robotic skills of young learners, and encourages them to challenge their limits and further extend their abilities.
Students across India can register for three levels of Basic Certifications : O, A and B Level.
- O-Level – Along with an examination, participants are required to complete a project work and furnish a certificate for the same. Equivalent to a Foundation Level Course in Robotics and Automation, the O-Level certification can by taken by anyone satisfying the prerequisites.
- Students at any level of education, studying at an Institution with AICRA certified NxR Lab and following the AICRA O,A,B – Level Curriculum.
- Individuals who have a pass certificate in NCVT-DP & CS (Data Processing & Computer Software) Examination conducted by DGE&T (Govt. of India).
- Individuals with a 10+2 or a ITI certification after 10th, if appearing through an institute.
- Students who have successfully completed second year of Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in a Government recognized Polytechnic/Engineering College.
- A-Level – Along with an examination, participants must complete a project work which carries 100 marks. Equivalent to an Advance Level of Certification in Robotics Education, the A-Level test can be taken by anyone satisfying the prerequisites.
- Students at any level of education already qualified the O-Level Certification, studying at an Institution with AICRA certified NxR Lab and following the AICRA O,A,B – Level Curriculum.
- Students with an O-Level Certification and a Graduate or Diploma Degree in Engineering along with 1-2 years of relevant experience.
- B-Level – Along with an examination, participants must complete a project work which carries 100 marks. Equivalent to a Specialized Advance Level of Certification in Robotics Education, the B-Level test can be taken by anyone satisfying the prerequisites.
- Students at any level of education already qualified the A-Level Certification, studying at an Institution with AICRA certified NxR Lab and following the AICRA O,A,B – Level Curriculum.
- Students with an A-Level Certification and a Graduate or Diploma Degree in Engineering along with 1-2 years of relevant experience.
The course materials can be accessed online, or at any of the AICRA established study centers by students who do not have access to NxR Labs. The studies for the certification examinations can be done by school students at the NxR labs at their respective educational institutions following the AICRA Literacy curriculum. Other students can access resources at the AICRA study centers situated in cities across India.
Certificates will be issued after successful completion of examinations and project work. The project work must be completed under the supervision of the Head of Educational Institution the student is a part of, who would issue a certificate of completion regarding the same. For Professionals, the same must be furnished by a supervisor at the organization they are employed in.
The Literacy Program certifications are opportunities for students and professionals to gain credible affiliation for their skills and knowledge in the domain of Robotics and Automation.
